Pyrite-Bearing Calcite Quartz Cluster from Erengaobi, Dong Ujimqin Banner, Inner Mongolia, China.

This is a high-quality columnar quartz aggregate specimen from Erengaobi, Dong Ujimqin Banner, Inner Mongolia. The prismatic quartz host crystals feature complete hexagonal prism faces with smooth, matte drusy silica coatings. Dense rosette-shaped calcite overgrowths epitaxially develop along the quartz crystal edges and surfaces; the lamellar calcite sheets form stacked flower-like radial aggregates. Fine granular metallic pyrite microcrystals are disseminated within the calcite matrix, scattered evenly across the rosette calcite layers, presenting bright metallic luster and striking visual contrast against the pale off-white calcite and translucent greyish quartz. It is a classic paragenetic association of quartz, calcite and pyrite from the Inner Mongolia metallogenic belt.

标本产自内蒙古东乌旗额仁高壁，为高品质柱状水晶集合体。寄主水晶呈标准六方柱晶形，柱面完整平整，表层覆细腻哑光微晶石英皮壳；水晶棱边与晶面外延生长大量玫瑰状方解石，片状方解石叠生形成放射花状集合体。粒状金属光泽黄铁矿微晶浸染分布于方解石基质中，均匀嵌布在玫瑰方解石层间，亮金属质感与浅米白色方解石、半透灰调水晶形成强烈视觉层次。标本为内蒙古成矿带典型的水晶、方解石、黄铁矿共生矿物组合。
