These are emerald matrix specimens of pegmatite type deposit. The hexagonal prismatic single crystals and aggregates of beryl are acicular and long-columnar, embedded in dolomite-quartz vein host rock. Dominated by vanadium chromophore, crystals exhibit pale to vivid emerald green with vitreous luster and well-developed vertical striations on prism faces. Two types of host rock occur: dark grey metamorphic basement intergrown with mica and sulfide microcrystals, and massive white dolomite veins with minor quartz filling fractures. Crystals show moderate euhedrality, with intact prism terminations partially preserved.
