This specimen features an interesting cross-section that allows for observation of the several stages of growth this specimen went through during its formation. The initial fluorite growth, as you can see from the dividing line between the colors, was purple, which was then followed by layers of blue. Similarly, the quartz also grew in two stages, the first being transparent and the second becoming small, opaque white crystals.
