Pale Purple Octahedral Fluorite on Spessartine, with Genthelvite

New discovery from Tongbei, Yunxiao County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, China. Pale purple euhedral octahedral fluorite crystals grow atop reddish-brown granular spessartine garnet matrix. Some specimens contain minor genthelvite. The fluorite possesses excellent luster. There is striking crystalline contrast between fluorite crystals and granular spessartine, making it a distinctive composite mineral specimen.

淡紫色八面体萤石共生锰铝榴石、锌日光榴石

标本产自中国福建省漳州市云霄县通贝村，为当地锰铝榴石矿区新产出品种。淡紫色自形八面体萤石晶体生长于棕褐色粒状锰铝榴石基底之上，部分标本伴生少量锌日光榴石。萤石光泽很好。萤石晶体与粒状锰铝榴石形成鲜明结晶对比，是极具特色的共生矿物标本。
