Well-developed hexagonal prismatic calcite crystals feature flat hexagonal terminal faces with clear concentric growth bands on the crystal surfaces. Partial druzy quartz coverage can be observed on the specimens, which emit gorgeous orange-red fluorescence under long-wave UV light.
