Even more striking are two underdeveloped octahedrons—one large, one small—stacked in parallel as "crystals upon crystals." This imperfection breaks the monotony of perfect geometry, highlighting the interrupted force during crystal growth and constructing a unique sense of architecture and time. Golden pyrites dotting the piece add a touch of natural interplay to this specimen, which integrates color zoning, step-like striations, and parallel growth.
