calcite specimens are from Manaoshan Mine, Suxian District, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, China.

This sample consists of stacked rhombohedral calcite crystals that form dense intergrown aggregates. The large rhombohedral crystals develop stepped growth laminae with sharp crystal edges and intact crystal faces. Under ultraviolet light, the calcite displays vivid bright red fluorescence induced by trace manganese elements.

方解石产自中国湖南省郴州市苏仙区玛瑙山矿。

标本由菱面体方解石相互堆叠，构成致密共生晶簇。粗大的菱面体晶体发育阶梯状生长层，晶棱锋利，晶面完好。受微量锰元素影响，在紫外灯下会显现明艳的亮红色荧光。
