In this beautiful specimen, sharp, dramatic fans of golden calcite emerge from dark, sphalerite-coated quartz. In the lower left corner are tiny quartz crystals, and the rest of the piece is covered in a blanket of nearly jet-black sphalerite crystals. The contrast between the elements of this piece give it a particularly artistic look, reminiscent of a sunflower.
